VIRUS WARNING - Do not open email
Please do not open emails that appear to contain a secure fax attachment. See the image below for an example of the email and attachment. Finally, please remember the following best practices for handling email attachments or suspicious email. Act smart, not fast. Verify the source of any suspicious email before you act. Generally, do not blindly forward emails, open attachments and links, or view HTML content. Don't attach large files to an e-mail; anything over one or two megabytes shouldn't be sent via e-mail. Limit the number of files you attach to a message to five or fewer. Save attachments to your hard drive and then delete the e-mail message containing the attachment. Sharing Documents from Excel
You will need to save you file in a shared location for others to access it. You have several options to do this. SharePoint – Local collaboration storage. Faculty members can access and edit the file many people can modify the file at the same time. \\hasd.org\administration - Local file share. Faculty members can view the file, but it may be difficult for others to find due to the amount of files saved here. OneDrive – Cloud collaboration storage. Personal storage like your B: drive, but you have the option to share files with other people. Google Drive - Cloud collaboration storage. Personal storage like your B: drive, but you have the option to share files with other people. You cannot store any private data in Google. This would include information like medical records or Social Security Numbers. Email – If your document contains “one-time only” information, you can email it to the people that need it. Don’t use this if the information in your document needs to change.

How to initially login to your HASD G Suite account **ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE THE G SUITE PARENT PERMISSION SLIP SIGNED AND TURNED IN BEFORE USING THIS SERVICE** Parent Permission Form To activate your HASD G Suite account, a password change is required. Login to any HASD computer. Then, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, click change password. Enter a new HASD password. The password change will sync with Google account during the next 30 minutes. You can then go to http://www.google.com/, click Sign In Use your HASD email address and new password. (This password change will sync with your HASD email, network login and Office 365 account) PLEASE NOTE: If you are logged into multiple computers, including Remote Desktop Services, you will need to log out before changing your password. If you use your phone or other mobile device to connect to HASD email services, you will need to update your password on those devices.

Remote Desktop Guide
Remote Desktop Connection General Use Guide Remote Desktop is a powerful tool allowing a user to run their work machine remotely. This enables the user to run all their work applications while at home. If the user has Windows at home the client software is already installed. If not, it must be installed from the Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com and search for remote desktop client). Connect to HASD Remote Desktop Services Desktop Edition The following directions apply to Windows, Mac, and other desktop operating systems. For operating systems other than Windows, you may need to download a client that supports Remote Desktop Protocol. A Google search for “Remote Desktop Client (your operating system)” should provide a reliable client for you to use. Directions for iOS and Android tablets are below. Open an internet browser and navigate to https://remote.hasd.org/RDWeb You may need to click allow on the pop on the screen below. Then login with your HASD email and password. Click on Full Desktop Click connect After you click connect you will be logged in and able to access files from your B drive. Please note that you will be connecting to one of many remote desktop servers. When saving files, save them to your B drive, do not save anything to the desktop. When you are finished, go the start menu and logoff. Connect to HASD Remote Desktop Services iOS and Android Edition The following directions apply to the Microsoft Remote Desktop App from the Apple App Store/Google Play Store. Please use this app for connecting to HASD Remote Desktop Services with your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Open the Microsoft Remote Desktop app. Select Remote Resources (Android) or Work Resources (iOS) Tap the “+” sign. iOS only – Tap Add Remote Resource Feed Enter the URL: https://remote.hasd.org/RDWeb Enter your User Name. You can use either HASD\username or username@hasd.org. Enter your password and Save. Tap Full Desktop to connect to the Remote Desktop Services from your tablet device. You will be logged in and able to access files from your B drive. Please note that you will be connecting to one of many remote desktop servers. When saving files, save them to your B drive, do not save anything to the desktop. When you are finished, go the start menu and logoff.

Microsoft Home Use Program
We frequently have questions regarding using Office at home and discounts for purchasing Office. This is the latest information regarding home use and discounts. As long as you are an employee of the district, you can logon to https://portal.office.com with your district account and install Office 365 on up to 5 personal devices. This is for your personal use only and cannot be shared with other members of your household. If you would like to use Office on devices that are shared with other family members, you need to purchase an Office 365 subscription. Microsoft has updated the Home Use Program to offer discounts on Office 365 subscriptions. Office Professional Plus 2019 and Office Home and Business 2019 are no longer available as Home Use Program offers. For up-to-date information on the availability of Home Use Program software or to purchase Office 365, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/homeuseprogram. What are the steps to make a Microsoft Home Use Program purchase? 1. Sign Up: Visit the Microsoft Home Use Program page. Enter your HASD email address. Click on ‘Get Started’ button. 2. Confirm: If you are eligible, an email will be sent to your HASD email address inbox with a link that will validate your eligibility for the program. 3. Sign In: Once your eligibility is confirmed and you register for the program with your personalMicrosoft account that is associated with your personal email address, you can begin the purchase process by viewing the discounts available to you based on your Home Use Program benefit eligibility. 4. Shop: Your purchase is processed and completed in the Microsoft Store. You, the eligible employee, can install Office 365 on your personal devices after the purchase is complete. Once you have purchased Office 365 Home, you can share your subscription with up to 5 additional members of your household. Here are answers to the most asked questions at HASD: Can I share my subscription purchased through Home Use Program with members of my household? If you have an Office 365 Home subscription, you can share it with up to five additional members of your household (up to 6 users total). Each household member can install across their devices including PCs, Macs, iPads, Android tablets, Windows tablets, iPhones, or Android phones, get an additional 1 TB of OneDrive storage, and manage their own installs from https://account.microsoft.com/services/. Can my family use the Office license my employer provided me? No. The Office license assigned to you by your employer is for your use only. This applies whether you access Office from a device at your home or a device provided by your employer. Whereas if you purchase Office 365 Home through the Home Use Program, it can be used by your family. May other members of my household use the Office 365 Home or Office 365 Personal license acquired by me through the Microsoft Home Use Program? Office 365 Home subscriptions may be used by members of the same household as you. Office 365 Personal may only be used by the employee. What happens if I leave the company? Your subscription remains active and the discount continues to apply as long as you maintain recurring billing on your subscription.

iPad Install not Cancel
Please make sure when the devices are turned on that you or students press "Install" not "Cancel" whenever a window like this appears. It may appear numerous times. This will ensure all apps are put on the devices properly.

Call History Features
Step 1) To view missed calls, Press the GLOBAL SERVICES button (right button next to the Up/Down SCROLL button). Step 2) Use the SCROLL button to move down to the Directories option and press the Select soft key. Step 3) Use the SCROLL button to select the desired call history option: Missed Calls, Received Calls or Placed Calls. Step 4) Press the Select soft key to display the desired call history. Step 5) When you are finished, press the Exit soft key twice to exit the Directory Menu. Note: To speed dial a missed call, received call, or placed call, press the Dial soft key when the desired number is selected.
