Sharing Documents from Excel
You will need to save you file in a shared location for others to access it. You have several options to do this.
- SharePoint – Local collaboration storage. Faculty members can access and edit the file many people can modify the file at the same time.
- \\hasd.org\administration - Local file share. Faculty members can view the file, but it may be difficult for others to find due to the amount of files saved here.
- OneDrive – Cloud collaboration storage. Personal storage like your B: drive, but you have the option to share files with other people.
- Google Drive - Cloud collaboration storage. Personal storage like your B: drive, but you have the option to share files with other people. You cannot store any private data in Google. This would include information like medical records or Social Security Numbers.
- Email – If your document contains “one-time only” information, you can email it to the people that need it. Don’t use this if the information in your document needs to change.
