Computer Sound Issues
Check to make sure the speakers are plugged into the wall outlet or USB source
Make sure power strip is on the on position and plugged into the wall
(If you are still having issues continue to the next troubleshooting step)
Make sure the speakers are turned on
(If you are still having issues continue to the next troubleshooting step)
Make sure the headphone jack is plugged in all the way

Check to make sure that the sound isn’t muted

(If you are still having issues continue to the next troubleshooting step)
Make sure audio device is set to Speakers or Headphones (Speakers come up as headphones on some computers)
To change the audio device, click the “^”

Select Speakers or Headphones

Now the audio will be set to the speakers

Right click on the sound icon and select “Playback devices”

Right click on Speakers or Headphones and make sure they are set to “Default Device” and “Default Communication Device”. If these options do not appear then the Speakers or Headphones are already set as default.

Check to see if the sound issue has been resolved. If not please continue.
Right-click Speaker or Headphones and click “Properties”

The Properties box will pop-up. Click the “Advanced” tab.

For best results make sure “16 bit, 44100Hz (CD Quality)” is selected from the drop down and that both checkmarks in the “Exclusive Mode” are unchecked. Then click “Apply”, then OK. Test the sound again.
